Sans Collective2024 Notes from the Fringes vol. 1 is a book that documents the making of Dari Pinggiran vol. 1—a process-led archive of writings, research, photographs, and post-show reflections. Serving as both an extension and a quiet conclusion to the first iteration of the Dari Pinggiran series, it offers glimpses into the conceptual, emotional, and collaborative journey behind the work. The book also functions as a companion piece to Bayangan’s 2024 EP, Dari Pinggiran, further bridging the 2022 mixed-media art performance and its sonic offshoot.
In its design, the publication expands upon the visual and typographic language established in both the EP and the performance, maintaining a sense of continuity while allowing space for introspection and resonance. Supported by Krishen Jit Fund 2021
