The Misinterpreted Futures of George Town: 2068 is an experimental mixed-media performance imagining a day in the life of George Town in the future. Devised and inspired by the city and its people, it is presented through the design and technical languages of lighting, projection, sound, and set—without live performers. The piece explores the hopes and fears of the local community, offering a critique of contemporary culture and society. It was commissioned by George Town Festival 2018 and staged in a heritage building.

2068 was the second iteration of an ongoing exploration into the question “How do we make performances without performers?” This inquiry began in 2017 with **2080, which also led to the formation of Sans Collective. The team further experimented with performance form and creation by incorporating field research and methodologies from the Human-Centered Design toolkit into their devising process.
